Janice and Sonia Lee, better known to their hundreds of thousands of YouTube subscribers as acoustic duo Jayesslee, whose 34 videos have skyrocketed the twins to regional stardom in Asia, gave glory to God during a press conference held during their recent visit to Manila.

“We are just two very, very ordinary girls,” Janice Lee said, smiling, “(who) grew up in an ordinary family in Sydney. The greatest blessing is just (for Him) to do extraordinary things through our lives and through our music.”
The twin sisters, whose trademark harmonies and refreshing videos that show off their natural beauty have skyrocketed their dozens of videos to a collective total of almost 70 million views, started off their storied career by uploading videos of them singing songs they’ve sung in church. They’ve covered many Christian artists, including Starfield, Hillsong, the Katinas, and Jesus Culture. But it was their cover of “Dare You to Move,” by Christian pop-rock band Switchfoot, that cemented their status as up-and-coming names in Contemporary Christian music.

Jayesslee now performs full-time, touring Asia and the world alongside their producer (and Sonia’s husband!) Andy, and readily acknowledge how God made all of this happen.
“He’s opened opportunities for us to go places where we could not go by ourselves,” Janice says.” We know that by grace and the love of God who leads us, we’ve taken these opportunities. So this is great, just to touch people’s hearts and move people’s lives through our music is the greatest blessing.”
