Less than four months after Contemporary Christian rapper tobyMac debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, Grammy® Award-winning singer/songwriter Chris Tomlin also enters the chart on top, with 73,000 copies of his new release, Burning Lights, sold this week. It is only the fourth time in history that a Christian music album has entered that chart at No. 1.
Burning Lights, the follow up to the Grammy® Award-winning And If Our God Is For Us… (winner for Best Christian or Gospel Album), features the top 10 hit, Whom Shall I Fear (God Of Angel Armies), alongside a new recording of Tomlin’s previous hit, White Flag, off the Passion release of the same title. Also featured in the release are Contemporary Christian artists Lecrae (Awake My Soul), Kari Jobe (Crown Him (Majesty)), Christy Nockels (Jesus, Son Of God) and Phil Wickham (Thank You God For Saving Me).
