Australian Contemporary Christian praise and worship band Hillsong United, a rock worship group of Australia’s Hillsong Church, is visiting Manila in June 2011, with a praise and worship concert set on June 2 at the Araneta Coliseum, the same venue where it held its last Manila concert, a Spirit-filled shindig in May 2008. Prior to that, Hillsong United’s last live concert in Manila was held in November 2006, a riotous praise party at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. Hillsong United fans may remember that the 2008 concert was sold out, save for some last minute stragglers at General Admission (my personal take on concerts is this: if you can’t go for seats that make you happy, front-row, upper or lower box, whatever suits your fancy, you might as well not go at all, and General Admission seats for an artist like Hillsong United is, well, sayang naman. Araneta pa naman is such a large venue, you may find Joel Houston the size of half of your thumb at the distance over in the bleachers.)
Hillsong United Live in Manila 2011 is part of its world tour to promote its second studio CD, Aftermath, which is now currently available at all House of Praise outlets throughout the Philippines. The first radio single is Search My Heart. Ticket prices to its 2011 concert at the Araneta Coliseum are going for reserved seats for the Patron VIP (Php1800) and Patron or Lower Box (Php1500) seats. Open seating is available for Upper Box A (Php800), Upper Box B (Php500), and General Admission (Php300). Tickets will be available at TicketNet, but if you’d like to secure tickets as early as now, you may call 910.5352 or 910.5524.
See you June 2! Stick around for more Hillsong United Live in Manila 2011 news as the day draws nearer. :)
